Welcome!

This project invites students in England to step into the shoes of nurses, hear their stories, and discover what it's like to be a nurse. It's part of Empathy Museum's A Mile in My Shoes, an ever-growing, travelling collection of shoes and audio stories donated by people from all over the world. We take our collection to all sorts of places, inviting people to (literally) walk a mile in a stranger's shoes while listing to a first-hand story about the owner of those shoes. For this project, we collected ten stories and shoes from nurses working across England. You can find the audio stories online and accompanying teachers' pack here.
